Hayward and Shannon are an amazing duo! They listened to what we were envisioning and helped to bring that vision to life for us. We are so grateful for the opportunity to have a family portrait taken by Hayward. After the great job he did with our daughter's high school graduation photos two years ago, having him behind the camera on this family portrait made perfect sense. They are professional, kind-hearted, sweet, funny, and always a joy to work with. They've definitely become a part of our family. I am not one that enjoys posing and taking pictures (my daughter, YES), yet they were still able to bring out an amazing version of us that I have never seen before! I went to Hayward Gaude Photography for my maternity photographs and I could not be happier or more in awe of the stunning results. Their service is so much more than walking in for a photography session, it was truly a collaboration in which they created beautiful art tailored specifically to me. First we had a consultation to go over my ideas and vision, and they shared creative ideas and excellent suggestions on how to bring it to life.

I'm not one who loves to be in front of the camera, but I felt at ease and beautiful during the session. Hayward and his wife, Shannon, work together, and it was also really sweet to see husband and wife in their element! Hayward has an incredible eye for composition, posing and direction, and Shannon was always by my side getting my hair in the perfect spot, and showing me quick glimpses in the mirror before the pictures (thus avoiding that annoying internal dialogue of what do I even look like in this set up?!).

From the beginning, they were friendly, professional and communicative. They are truly a family business and very passionate about providing exceptional service. I will cherish these images, and feel inspired now to create a portrait wall in our home 🙂 I can't wait to go back for more sessions when our baby arrives!
