I bought a sofa 4 years ago during Covid and it was not cheap. The sofa has collapsed on one side now. My husband and I are pensioners and have no children in the house so suite was looked after. Our last leather suite lasted 20 years and still looked like new when we gave it away to a friend.

I called the shop to ask for help and explained I expect my suite to last longer than 4 years for the money I paid. I was happy as the manager said someone would come to check it. However no-one came and no answer to my correspondence. Very disappointed at the customer service. Thankfully I found out about the quality of service and goods before ordering my new kitchen from them but will now go elsewhere.

First Class service from the very professional young lady Jas, Jas being very knowledgeable towards the Stressless range sealed the deal seamlessly without any undue pressure. The furniture was delivered and installed by RFM, again a great couple of guys who respected my home.

I ordered a new dining table and chairs from Richard F Mackay, and I also bought a new sofa at the same time; because I couldn't decide which items I wanted to purchase, I made several trips to the store. I dealt with Jason, who was very patient and incredibly helpful during my visits, answering my countless questions as I asked them. Shortly before delivery, it came to light that there was a small problem with my order, but Jason immediately took ownership of this, and he rectified the issue within a few days (these things happen, but Jason was on the ball with resolving the issue, and I'm delighted at his proactive handling of it). My dining table and chairs arrived first, and my sofa arrived just a few days later. The delivery team (Mark and Emil) were wonderful, and it was lovely to have the same delivery team for both items. Mark and Emil were quick, efficient, friendly, helpful, and took great care when manoeuvring items through my hallway so as not to cause marks to the floors and walls. I'm absolutely delighted with my new furniture, and I'll certainly buy from Richard F Mackay again.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff in the store (shout-outs to Ioana and Jas), and the delivery service (Steve and Neil) has been absolutely brilliant too. They were pragmatic, helpful, cheerful and courteous, even when having to navigate a very large sofa through a very awkward series of doors!

Having had poor experiences with both Heal's and John Lewis recently, it's fantastic to do business with a local company who get it right throughout the process — both the big stuff and the little details.
